About us & Eastbourne
Since moving to Eastbourne from the Cote d'Azur in the south of France in 2011 and buying the B&B, Dave and Allison have set about making improvements to the guest house that have made it into the comfortable B&B you see today.
Whether you are coming to Eastbourne for business or pleasure, you can relax in a warm and friendly environment, a home from home. Eastbourne is a very traditional English seaside town, with Victorian and Edwardian buildings lining the seafront. It is a great place to take a stroll along the promenade or out along the Victorian Pier for some fresh sea air and great views along the coast. There are several cafes along the seafront and on the pier itself where you can stop, admire the view and enjoy a hot drink (or maybe something a bit stronger!) along with a delicious slice of cake or scone with jam and cream, or maybe a light lunch. Diagonally across the road from Beamsley Lodge is the Redoubt Fortress which during 2019 is undergoing some refurbishment and improved access. Many events will continue to be held here throughout the year regardless of the work including stargazing, children's activities and film nights. Eastbourne is also proud to have the busiest Band Stand in Britain with concerts from April - October on Friday and Saturday evenings, many of which are excellent tribute bands. Sunday afternoons will see various brass bands playing as well as on Wednesday evenings when the finale is the 1812 overture accompanied by fireworks set off from the beach. |
